Sentsy online party

My Aunt Lani is hosting an online Sentsy party for their new fondue line. It looks really cool so I'm posting it here if anyone wants to go look or buy something. It will go until next Friday, June 29th.

Summer Heat

My favorite place to meet my friends after the kids are in bed is Menchies frozen yogurt. We go there when we need to get away and just hang out.
Last week I wanted to do something fun with my kids and I had a coupon for Menchies so I thought I would take them to my favorite place. They boys LOVED it. Who doesn't love ice cream (or in this case, frozen yogurt) on a hot summer day.

Another thing we've started is swimming at Aunt Leisa's. It's the perfect way to cool down since it's been over 100 degrees for a while now (yesterday was 108)

It's hard to tell in these pictures but the boys were just relaxing on these with their water  bottles in the cup holders. They had so much fun!

Meal Ideas

I went through my recipes the other night. After I organized them, I made a list of meal ideas that I can pull from when I am making my weekly menu's. I thought I would put them on here so if I misplace the paper I wrote them down on (which always happens) then I can always come back here and find them.

Here they are:

Chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles
Teriyaki Chicken with homemade egg rolls
Grilled chicken (5 different recipes for marinades)
BBQ Chicken Braid
Pineapple Salsa Chicken
Honey lime chicken enchiladas
Cheese steak subs
One Pot southwest chicken and rice
Chicken Tortilla soup
Cilantro lime chicken (tostadas)
Stir-fry
Crock-pot chicken fajitas
foil packet
Spaghetti and meatballs
chicken and veggie skewers- chicken in any marinade with peppers, mushrooms and pineapple all on a sick. Throw it on the grill.
creamy chicken taquitos
Pasta with alfredo sauce and veggies
Taco Salad
BBQ chicken cobb salad - OBB cookbook
Vegetarian Taquitos -OBB cookbook
White Chicken chili
Mini pizza's with rhodes rolls - Use leftover alfredo sauce and/or BBQ sauce with shredded chicken and moz cheese.
Peanut Chicken
sweet and sour meatballs (OBB cookbook)
Breakfast Burritos - eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, onions, peppers, tomatoes...any or all of that, rolled up in a tortilla.

These are all tried and true recipes that I know my family will eat. This is geared a little more towards summer. Winter will include a lot more soups and less stuff on the grill.

(I've linked up any of the recipes that I've gotten online)

Fire station

The boys were invited to a birthday party at a fire station yesterday. They loved the firetruck! They got to meet a real fireman, climb up in the truck, and even try on the fireman's jacket!

SkyWest party

I realize that these posts are not in any kind of order. It's been awhile since I've put anything on this blog so I'm just playing catch up today. I'm not worrying about the order so here you go!

Last week we went to Salt Lake so go to the SkyWest celebrates 40 years party at the SL airport. The boys loved it. It was really fun. The kids got to play games and win prizes and we got to see airplanes in the hanger and we even got dinner and ice cream.

Memorial day hike

My sister Jessica and her husband Josh, and my brother Stuart came to visit us over Memorial day weekend. We had lots of fun playing games and hanging out and on Saturday we went on a fun little hike. It was the perfect weather!

Easter 2012

Okay, I know this is a little late but I just found these pictures and wanted to post them. They are from Easter. Every year we have an Easter egg hunt at Wes's work. The kids love it and they had so much fun. We also had an egg hunt at Wes's aunt Leisa's house this year. Here is a quick re-cap of Easter with a few pictures ;)

Children's Museum

We went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum while we were in SL last weekend. We had never been there before but we have heard how fun it is. I LOVED it. And so did my kids. They had so much fun! I was so sad when we had to leave because they were having so much fun. I can't wait to go again!!

Mom's Quilt

Well, we did it! Jess and I have been working on this quilt for a year now. My job was to do all the embroidery and it has taken me forever! But I am happy to say that we gave this to my mom this mothers day (okay, it was a few weeks late)
Here are all of the blocks that we did, one for everyone in the family.
