2 1/2 weeks

Well, it's been 2 1/2 weeks now since Nathan was born. We just do the same thing every day. I feed him, change his diaper, play with him for a few minutes then he falls asleep and we do it all over again when he wakes up. I usually sleep somewhere in there too.
My mom was here for the first week and then she came back for a few days the second week. She left last Friday and I cried. She was so great to have here. She cleaned, made dinners, took a shift at night so I could get some sleep, and she kept me company. I don't know what I would do without my mom!
My dad drove her up here and then came to pick her up so he could
see Nathan too. I've attached some pictures of Nathan with his
new Grandparents.

One Week

We made it one week today. Here is a quick summary of what we've done:
  • Nathan had his first bath
  • We've had lot's of visitors, Noel from my work, Grandma Horrocks, Brandon, Matt, Aubrie, Jessica, Grandpa Nelson, Stuart, and of course, my mom who stayed the week.
  • I've been Peed on 3 times, pooped on once, and spit up on regularly
  • Nathan loves to be awake at night and sleep during the day
  • Dad went back to work after taking a few days off.
  • I'm getting a little faster at walking up stairs
  • Nathan loves to suck on his hand

Those are some of the things from this last week. I'm sure there is more that I just can't remember from lack of sleep :)

Our New Arrival

It all started Thursday night when we went into the hospital. I was in labor for about 18 hours, all I remember was lots of pain but Wes has some good stories about how I reacted to some pain medication and such. About 2:00 Friday afternoon I was dilated to a 10 and ready to go but the baby's heart beat kept falling and the doctor said the baby was in distress and minutes later I was rushed into the O.R and I had a C-Section. It was a little traumatic but after all is said and done we are both fine and got to come home from the hospital today.

Can't make funeral? Catch it on Web

The other day Wes did a news story on a funeral home doing web casting so if you miss the funeral you can catch it online. Anyway, not only is that a weird story but somehow CNN picked it up and thought so to, so they put in on their website. Wes was pretty excited that his story went national so here is a link to his first national story ever! Yea!

CNN story: Funerals go Online

To top it off, I guess CNN will take random story headlines and put them on t-shirts and this one made it

T-Shirt "Can't make Funeral? Catch in on Web"

I got him that t-shirt for an anniversary gift. He was pretty excited.
Now we are just waiting for it in the mail.
Good job Wes

2 Year Anniversary

Happy Anniversary! We made it two years, here are some things that we've done in the last 2 years:

Lived in West Valley, had a car stolen, moved in with my parents for a few months, Wes has worked at 4 different jobs, I've worked at 3, spent a few different weekends in Park City, spent a few weekends in St George, went to Celine Dion in Vegas (one of my favorites) got terribly sunburn in Bear Lake, went on a few bike trips, started a monthly family game night, installed an entire sprinkler system, learned how to bottle fruit, Wes graduated college, I got pregnant and we moved out of state.

It's been a great 2 years! It's been a fun ride and now I'm excited to add to our family and to see what fun things come over the next few years.

Another trip to Salt Lake

We took one last trip to Salt Lake to pick up a few more things for the baby and to see our families. It was a quick little trip but we still got to see everyone so that was fun.
While we were there, my dad gave us a cradle that he made for us. My dad is very good at making anything out of wood and this cradle he gave us is beautiful! You can take it apart easily and it fits in this nice wood case he made to go with it.

When we were with my family, we were all together which doesn't happen too often so we took a picture of all of us, here we are on the front porch

Dad, Daniel, Jessica, Bryce, Mom, Me
Stuart, Wes

While we were there we also picked up our stroller and car seat that Aubrie and Andrew gave us for our birthdays and baby gift. It was very nice of them! I think we are all set now. We have just about everything, well, all of the big stuff like a crib, cradle, car seat, stroller, some diapers, lots of clothes and blankets and lots of other little things. I'm sure something will come up that we didn't think of but hopefully we have most of what we need. The one thing we don't have is a name! I guess we better hurry and decide :)
Now we just have to wait for the baby to come.
