Our week in Salt Lake Part 1

Jessica got married last Wednesday! I can't believe my little sister is married! We had a fun day. She got married in the Salt Lake temple in the morning and then had a luncheon at Gardner Village. It was a fun day. I only have a few pictures from my camera, more to come when my family gets all the pictures back.

Saturday

Last Saturday was so fun. It was finally warm enough to spend the day outside.
We started off the day by planting our "garden".
We planted a few different kinds of tomatoes and and peppers, and then of course, one little thing of flowers.
We put a beach towel out on the lawn and Nathan just played.
Then we took him out to the playground next to us and played on the swings and slide. He isn't really a fan of the slide just yet.

Later that afternoon, some friends from the ward invited us to go to the zoo with them and their kids. We had a good time. Nathan loves being outside in his stroller so he had fun but I don't think he realized what the animals were. Oh well. We ended the day with a BBQ with those same friends. It was a fun day! I love summer time!!

Wes' hard day at work

Mother's Day

This Mother's day was my first official Mother's day (Last year I was pregnant).
It was a fun day. Wes had flowers delivered on friday and then on Sunday, he got up and made breakfast, got Nathan ready for church, did all the dishes, put dinner in the crock pot, then made dinner when we got home from church and then did all the rest of the dishes! I loved it!

I had a fun Mother's day, but most of all, I LOVE being a mom! I think it's the greatest!!

Nathan's new trick...

Ever since Nathan was a few months old, he has gone to sleep easily. When it's nap time or bed time, we usually just take Nathan up to his crib, lay him down, put a blanket on him and walk out. He usually falls asleep within 5 minutes or so. I have loved this about Nathan, every once in a while if he isn't feeling well, or if he is in a different environment, we would have to rock him for a few minutes and then put him down.
Well, this week he has learned a new trick. If I just go and lay him down, this is what he does:




We will walk in his room after a few minutes and he will just be sitting up playing.
The little stinker. Now we have to find new tricks to help him go to sleep.

Manti

Jess went through the Manti temple last weekend and Wes and I were able to go. It was a fun day!! I can't believe my little sister is getting married next week! I am so excited for her!

I've been in Salt Lake for this past week. I helped my sister move, went to the Manti temple, went to a few bridal showers (for my sister), went with my sister to take her bridals, went to lunch with friends and mostly just hanging out with family. I have been taking pictures and I will post all of those soon! I'm heading back home tomorrow (Friday) and then I will be back to normal life and be able to blog about all of the fun I've been having :)
