A catch up post

I have a minute to post on here and since it's been a while I thought I would write a few things. Actually I don't really have a free minute since I have 3 tests coming up this weekend I should be studying for...or folding the laundry that is still in the dryer from my last laundry day (friday)... or starting on dinner for tonight...or doing the dishes since the breakfast dishes are still out....(oops). Oh well. There will be time for all of that later :) Right now I need a break. So let's see...what has been going on around here. I think I'll just post some pictures from the last few weeks and explain them.

Here we go. We got a gift card to Chili's for Christmas and we had planned to use it to go out on a date but then one weekend, we just decided to take our kids out. We don't usually (ever) take them out to eat so we thought it would be a fun family activity. They were actually pretty good and we had fun. And of course, we took a couple pictures of it since who knows when this will ever happen again :)

Wes took the boys to Home Depot to their kids workshop at the beginning of the month and they loved it. Saturday's have turned into the days where we go to Home Depot anyway to do some kind of project or to repair something on the house, so it was fun for them to do a project. They made cute Valentine mail holders. You can tell they are my kids because they both chose my favorite color, Pink!

Every Tuesday night, Wes has been playing basketball so we go and watch him. Well really, I go and watch him and the boys run up and down the bleachers, non-stop, until the game is done. They have so much fun though.

This is a random picture but we had to take it. The boys lined up every single car, truck, airplane, helicopter that they have. They even organized them into groups so we took some pics to remember how cute they are :)

(I think we have enough Lightning McQueen cars!)

And then we have Valentine's day. The day we have a good excuse to dye our food pink!
We also did our traditional Valentines that we sent to our families. They boys had fun, and let's be honest, I had fun too. I love sending Valentines to everyone. It's one of my favorite holidays!

There you have it, the last few weeks all summed up from these pictures. In between these activities are the usual life things that are going on. I'm in class 3 days a week, doing homework every night, teaching piano 4 days a week, carpooling to preschool, watching Wes play basketball and the everyday life things. I can't wait to be done with school. There are a few things I like about it, but really, I don't love school. Wes has been a huge help in me getting through school. He sits down with me EVERY. NIGHT. to help with my homework or help me study for a test or edit a paper I'm writing. When I get my degree in May, it should really say his name on there too! He is so awesome! I have 9 piano students now and I love that! All my students are so cute and I am having fun teaching them. I just wish life would slow down a little. It's funny to say that because when I lived in Idaho I was so bored! I just wanted a friend to do stuff with, or a calling to keep me busy, or something outside of staying home every day with my baby watching tv. Although, I wouldn't ever want to go back to that, sometimes I just want a little break :) Life is good. :)

Happy Birthday Blake

On January 11th, my baby turned 3! I can't believe how old he is.

 I love this little guy!

Some awesome presents

There are a few things that I got for Christmas that I just had to share on here.

We rotate who we have for Christmas and in my family, by brother Bryce and his wife Katy had our family. I just have to say that all my brothers are amazingly talented! Seriously. If you know my brothers you know that between the three of them, they could make, fix and in Dan's case, paint anything. They take after my dad that way... and they get some talent from my mom as well...they can all sew and crochet/knit and basically do anything creative.
So with that, Bryce made me some homemade things this year and I was so excited to get something that he had made. They are beautiful!
First is this wooden kleenex holder. How cool is that?! And then this q-tip holder. He just designed and made this! I think it's awesome! These are solid wood, very well made things.

Another thing to show how awesome my brother's are...look at this awesome 13 ft snowman they made!

I have to show you my favorite gift I got for Christmas from Wes. I have been wanting an ipad for so long now. I ask Wes if we can get one almost every other week! So he got me this special, customized ipad, special just form him.

Here is the box....

When I opened the box here is what I found...some apps!
A little booklet of faces....Facebook!
Pinterest (if you follow me on pinterest, this is the name of one of my boards)
Words with friends and the Calendar

Email

Safari

 Notes and Instagram

You Tube (I'll be honest, this one actually took me awhile to figure out)

So even though it wasn't the real thing, I am so impressed that my husband did all that work! I loved it!

And one last thing that the boys got from Santa this year....
And even though the snow was fun, we love that it's warm enough here to play outside on the new airplane!

Christmas up north

Since we flew up to Salt Lake for Christmas, we couldn't bring all of our stuff back with us. My parents came this weekend and brought everything so it was like Christmas all over again! We had a wonderful Christmas spending it with all our family up north. The kids had a lot of fun seeing all their grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. One night we went to temple square to see the lights. We rode trax and that was the highlight for the boys. While we were looking at the lights, they couldn't wait to go get back on the train! We managed to get a few pictures of the night.

We spent the day on Christmas Eve with Wes's family. Aunt Jamie helped the kids make some yummy treats.

One of the nights we played Twister....

Here we are on Christmas morning.
