Weekend with Liesl and lots of Treats

My friend Liesl came for the weekend and it was so fun to have a friend to hang out with here!
She came on Saturday and left on Sunday. Even though it was short we had time to have fun and eat lots of treats and watch chic flics :)
Here are the pics of our weekend. Okay, mostly they are the pics of our treats of the weekend...

Recent Activities

It's been a few weeks since I've posted. Here is what has been going on in our exciting lives here in Idaho.
First, I made a fruit pizza. I think it's fun to make them and decorate with fruit :)
What could be better than a giant sugar cookie, covered in cream cheese and pretty fruit?!?!

Second, we went to the Pocatello Zoo!
Wes and I both had this last Thursday off so we decided to get out and go to the zoo. The zoo here is very different than any other zoo I've ever been to. Not that I've been to a lot of different ones but this one is very small and has few animals. We saw Bison, Deer, Bears, a Fox, some birds and I think a few sheep. That's about it. Here are some pics of us at the Zoo :)

Getting Ready

For Family night the other night, Wes and I decided to put together our baby stuff. We have a bunch of stuff from Wes' sister Aubrie that they are letting us use like a swing and a bouncy chair and such things. Wes was in charge of putting those together and I was organizing the clothes and blankets and other things that we got. It was really fun. I'm getting excited. I just can't get over how little some of those clothes are, and the cute little socks and shoes! Of course, if this baby takes after his size 15 foot dad, I'm not sure that those tiny shoes will fit but we will try :)

We got a lot of clothes at the shower (which I am so grateful for). Now we have to get everything else we need. Any suggestions? What else do I need that you or people you know have absolutely loved and can't live without for a baby?

Baby Shower

I went to Salt Lake this last weekend for a baby shower. A few ladies from the ward I grew up in threw it for me, which was so nice of them. It was fun to see a lot of the people that came. I got some great things. I got a lot of really cute clothes. They are so tiny. Sometimes I can't believe that I am going to have a baby that is going to fit in these tiny clothes. Sometimes, I just can't believe I am going to have a baby.
Besides the shower, I also spent 2 days in Salt Lake just being with family. It was a lot of fun. Wes had to stay in Pocatello to report the news, but hopefully next time he can come too.
Here are some pictures of the weekend.

My New Plants

On Memorial day Wes and I went to the store and bought our first ever plants. We got one Tomato plant and one bell pepper plant. I am going to try and grow them this summer. I have never done this on my own and I have never had a little garden in pots but I am excited to try it out. Right now they are small and they sit on our back patio. Wish me luck!
