Another Post

I know I'm a slacker. I haven't posted for a few weeks. Sometimes there just isn't anything exciting to post. I'm just doing the day to day things. This last weekend was a little different though because my mother-in-law came to visit us. We had a really good time with her here and she even baby sat for us on Saturday so Wes and I could drive up to Idaho Falls to go to the temple. It was a nice little get a way for us and she enjoyed spending the time with her grandson. We watched a movie one night and ate yummy desserts and just hung out.

I've been keeping busy with all my little "jobs". I've been working at the bank 2 days a week (Monday's and Saturday's) and I've started babysitting a little 2 year old girl on Tuesday's. She is a cute little girl but let's just say that Tuesday's are now my least favorite day of the week. It's a lot of work and I just don't enjoy it. I think it will get better as the weather gets warmer so we can go outside and play and go on walks and such. 10 hours is just a long time to entertain a little girl inside. I've also been keeping busy with my little 'freezer meal' business. Wes works with a lady who buys freezer meals from me. It's been a nice way to make some extra money for me and I really enjoy cooking so it works out. Although, making 16 meals in just a few days makes for some busy days and a messy kitchen.

My training for the Wasatch Back has slowed down a little. I've gotten shin splints and the more I keep running, the more they hurt. So I'm trying to get rid of those and I have bought some new shoes so hopefully those will help. I only have a few months left so I hope they heal soon!
In the mean time, Wes have I have been playing some racquetball at the gym and as it turns out, I am pretty bad at that game :) But we have fun anyway.

Well, that's the latest. Today is laundry day so I better get started. This is one of those times where I've let it build up and now I have several loads to do!

6 months

Nathan is now 6 months old, as of the 22nd. I can't believe that it's been 6 months already. Here is what he is doing now.

He is about 20 lbs, and is wearing 9 month clothes and size 3 shoes. He has his '6 month' appt next week so then we'll find out all his stats.
He can roll over but only one way, from his back to his tummy. Then he gets too distracted playing on his tummy to figure out how to roll back over.
He is eating cereal, peaches and pears so far and his favorite is pears.
He is no longer nursing, he is eating much more than I make so we made the switch to formula and he loves to help out by holding his own bottle.
He is a very happy baby, only really cries when he is hungry or tired, or wants more attention.
He loves to grab anything he can and put it straight in his mouth.
He loves playing with and eating his feet.
Nathan loves his dad. He gets soooo excited when he comes home from work. He can be fussy for me and as soon as Wes comes home, he gets so happy and excited and just loves to play with him.He can sit up really well with help, and for just a few minutes on his own. He gets distracted by his feet and when he reaches for them, he topples over.
He LOVES playing with my hair, putting his fingers through it and pulling really hard. Which is why I wear it pulled back most days.
He is sleeping through the night, usually about 12 hours!
Nathan is growing like crazy, it's hard to keep up with what size of clothes he's wearing. He has just about out grown his car seat so he will be getting a new one soon.
He is so much fun and we love having him in our family! It's fun to watch him grow, but it's happening so fast. These 6 months have just flown by, and I'm sure then next 6 will too.

Valentine's Weekend

What an eventful weekend we had. First I went down to Salt Lake a day early (Thursday night) so I could go wedding dress shopping with my sister. I'm glad I got to be there for the fun day. I don't have any pictures of the dress that she ended up getting but here are some pictures of the day, isn't she so cute!?

Then for Valentine's day, Wes brought me some flowers and we got to go out on a date! Thanks mom and dad for babysitting! We went to a favorite Thai place for dinner called Thai Siam and then to a movie. It's been months and months since we have done that so it was so much fun!
Then to finish up our long weekend, we went to the Draper Temple open house on Monday morning with my family. It is a beautiful temple and it was fun to go see it. What a fun weekend!!

The Wasatch Back

One of my goals for 2009 is to run in a race. I've always wanted to but I just have never done it. So I have decided to run in the Wasatch Back in June with my sister-in-law and her husband and a few other people. It is a relay race that goes from Logan to Park City in 24 hours. The teams have 12 people each on them and each person has to run 3 legs. They are still putting together the team but I have committed and have started training for it. I'm really excited for it, and a little nervous. I've never done anything like this before but I think I can do it! I've put a little tracker on the side of my blog to keep me motivated to keep up on my training. I figure if other people can see how my runs are going then I will want to be good :) I just started training this week. Wish me luck!

Update

I've been slacking in updating my blog. I haven't been really busy with anything in particular, I just haven't done it. So here are some updates and pictures of Nathan.

Nathan got a new toy. He loves it. We put him in it and he just bounces and bounces.
My favorite part about the new toy is that it wears him out.
I thought this was cute, he was just chillin' on the couch with his little legs crossed.
Nathan loves it when his dad plays with him
