No Words

I went to a viewing last night. We waited in a line that took us an hour and a half to get through. It was a friend's husband that passed away. I didn't know him very well but I have worked with her since I moved here. I wasn't expecting to feel so emotional when I went. I normally am not a very emotional person, and I was just going to show support for my friend. When I got there and gave her a hug, I just cried. What do you say to someone who just lost their spouse? 29 years old. There are no words that seem appropriate, or that would seem to help. So I just cried with her for a second and moved on. I can't imagine how hard that would be to stand there all night, next the the casket with your husband laying there, greeting people as they come by.
It certainly made me more thankful for my family as I said my prayers last night.

I can't even imagine how hard that would be. Did they have kids?

That would be so hard! I felt similarly going to my friend's mom's funeral just a few months ago...what do you say? Luckily, we have hope in the gospel. What a blessing.
