Grocery shopping

I have a dilemma.

Harmons vs Walmart

I live just around the corner from Harmons. It's a nice big grocery store. They have the fun carts that Nathan loves with the little car attached to the front, making more room for my groceries in the cart. They give Nathan a balloon every time we go in. They bag your groceries and put them in your cart for you. They offer drive up service or they will just help you out to your car. And the people that work there are always so nice. Always. I love Harmons. My only drawback is that it's a little expensive.
Then there is walmart. They don't have the big carts so my kids take up an entire cart. If I am doing a big shop then I have to push the kids in one cart and pull the other cart with the food in it (like I did today-I don't recommend this)
I always get the grumpy checkers, ALWAYS, and you have to put your own groceries in your cart. One time I wasn't fast enough for the lady and she was kind of rude about it.
Today as I was hauling around my two carts, one with kids and one with lots and lots of groceries, Blake started crying. Not just crying but screaming, hysterical, high pitched shrieking. He does this. There is usually nothing wrong with him, he just wants to be held...which I can't really do because I am pushing two carts through Walmart. But people are staring and giving me looks because my baby is screaming his lungs out so I have to stop, take Blake out and carry him while pushing one cart and pulling the other.
Why do I do this? I think to myself every time I go to Walmart and not Harmons...WHY? Harmons is SOOO Awesome compared to this.

Walmart is cheaper.

That's it. Plain and simple. I'm a girl on a budget. I can't bring myself to pay the high prices at Harmons. What do I do?
Every time I go to Walmart I think, it's worth it to just pay the extra money for the service. But then when I do go to Harmons I think, "it's so expensive".
So, I still have a dilemma...

do your shopping at night, that way Wes can stay home with the boys and there's half of the dilemma solved. It's still grocery shopping but it's somewhat some 'you' time. ;- ) Hope you guys are doing good down there!

Hahaha!
Totally feel your pain.
When we first moved the only store around us was Smith's. It took FOREVER to get Walmart close to us. So, our dilemma was do we take the 20 minute trip to Smith's or the 40 minute trip to a Walmart in the next city...
Smith's always won because it was closer, but it was expensive!
Good luck and I hope you can figure something out.

Oh wow, That sounds like a lot of work. I would go to harmon's just for a couple things and when you need to do the big shopping experience go to walmart while hubby watches the kids or can maybe come with you to help out. :) Good luck

I have EXACTLY the same dilemma between Albertson's and Walmart. Plus the produce is SOOO much better at Albertson's. I'm seriously considering just paying more.
