Our Day in Long Beach

So Friday afternoon I thought, "let's go somewhere tomorrow". I emailed Wes and suggested we go on a day trip. An hour later we were getting ready to fly out to SL to stay the night with my parents. The next morning we went to the airport and flew to Long Beach, CA for the day. We had so much fun! We rented a car for the day and went to Shoreline Village first then drove over to Huntington Beach then back to the airport. Here are the pictures from our fun day.

At Shoreline Village they had an arcade place that had a big carousel in it. I think that was Nathan and Blake's favorite part. We played air hockey (which Nathan LOVES), rode on the tractor, and the carousel.

We walked around and looked at all the boats. The boys thought that was fun to see all of them. Here we are with The Queen Mary behind us.
Wes and the boys with all the boats
Then we went to Huntington Beach. It was so crowded but fun. We got to see the ocean! This was their first experience with the ocean.
Here is Nathan's reaction to the water coming up and "getting him" as he put it
They sure loved the sand though

Wes taking Nathan closer to the water...he was freaking out!
Me and Blake. He didn't freak out as much but he didn't like the water. It was pretty cold.
And me and Blake at the beach.
The flights home were a little long for the kids and we got home really late. But all in all, it was a pretty fun day! We'll have to try it again!

*We forgot the camera so all of the pictures were taking with our phones so some turned out great and others not so much...oh well. At least we got lots of pictures!
