My Hair

Yes, I am writing a post about my hair. I have been going through old pictures lately and I am amazed at what I have done with my hair in the last 10 years. I don't know what I was thinking most of the time. Sometimes I just wanted to be different. I am putting a few pictures on here that show the many different styles I have tried. The worst one being these first pictures...

Yes, I dyed my hair black. It wasn't supposed to do that but it did and I had that color of hair for about 8 months. The rest are just random pictures of different hair.
At least I had normal hair, that really looks like me for my wedding:Good times. Okay that's enough about my hair :)

Back to Life

This week I start back to work and I started going to the gym again.
I will just be working on Saturday's and going to staff meetings on Tuesday mornings. Nathan can come with me the staff meetings and Wes will be home on Saturday's so I don't need a babysitter and I can make a few extra dollars.
I also started going to the gym. I have gone 2 days this week so far and I am so sore! I can tell it's been a while. Yesterday I ran 2 miles and thought I was going to die and this morning I did 20 minutes of cardio and then arms and I can already tell that my arms are going to be really sore tomorrow. The hardest part of working out again is leaving Nathan in the day care at the gym. That was weird leaving him with a lady I just met minutes before leaving my son with her. She is really nice and after 2 days so far, it's getting easier. So far he has done really well in there.

So after 2 months, I finally feel like I am able to get back to life - not like it was before because I have a baby, but I feel like I am getting the hang of things. I can go grocery shopping, run errands, clean the kitchen, do laundry, go to all 3 hours of church and choir practice and now, go to the gym and back to work. Oh and post on my blog and read other blogs :)

2 Months

Nathan is two months old now! He had his doctors appointment yesterday and he is growing!
He now weights 12 lbs and 10 oz, and he is just about 24 inches long. He is in the 75 percentile of his height and weight.
At two months he is sleeping most of the night, smiles a lot, follows movement with his eyes, getting very good at holding his head up, and is getting cuter every day!

4:00 am

Here I am at 4:00 am. Nathan has started this schedule where he will go to bed, usually around 10 or 11 (that is after a few hours of crying) and then he will sleep until about 3:30 or so and wake up to eat. I get up to feed him but then he is wide awake. He is usually all smiley and happy and just content to be awake. It usually takes a few hours of trying really hard to get him back to sleep. So this morning I just put him in his little bouncy chair and I'm catching up on emails and blogs. Sometimes I am just too tired to try to get him back to sleep so here I am writing this at 4:00 am while Nathan is just as happy as can be being awake. He really is cute when he is like this, I just wish it wasn't during prime sleeping time :)

Hawaii

Two years ago, a few months after Wes and I were married, we started planning a family trip to Hawaii with Wes' family. We thought we were being so smart in planning ahead and saving money. Then we found out we were going to have a baby just a few weeks before the trip, so needless to say, we are at home while right now, as I'm typing this, the rest of Wes' family is finishing up the 2 week trip in Hawaii. Even though it would be nice to be swimming in the ocean right now, we get to hang out in Idaho and be here for the first snow!
Really though, even though Hawaii would be nice, we think we got the better end of the deal...
Since they've been gone we've had our own fun. First, we got to go to Salt Lake to see my brother, Stuart, get his Eagle on his 15th birthday, Congrats Stuart! Also, for the last 2 nights, Nathan has slept through the night, well almost. He has only gotten up once, so both nights he has slept 6 hours straight! Which means mom gets to sleep 6 hours straight!
And the best part is Nathan has learned how to smile :)Who needs Hawaii :)
