Two years ago, a few months after Wes and I were married, we started planning a family trip to Hawaii with Wes' family. We thought we were being so smart in planning ahead and saving money. Then we found out we were going to have a baby just a few weeks before the trip, so needless to say, we are at home while right now, as I'm typing this, the rest of Wes' family is finishing up the 2 week trip in Hawaii. Even though it would be nice to be swimming in the ocean right now, we get to hang out in Idaho and be here for the first snow!
Really though, even though Hawaii would be nice, we think we got the better end of the deal...
Since they've been gone we've had our own fun. First, we got to go to Salt Lake to see my brother, Stuart, get his Eagle on his 15th birthday, Congrats Stuart!
Also, for the last 2 nights, Nathan has slept through the night, well almost. He has only gotten up once, so both nights he has slept 6 hours straight! Which means mom gets to sleep 6 hours straight!
And the best part is Nathan has learned how to smile :)

Oh my gosh he is really cute! Hawaii would be nice but you seem to be just fine!
Now that's the kind of attitude I should have....
Anyway, he is so cute and it's so much fun when they smile and when they sleep for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time...

It just gets better and better from here on out. When they start to interact with you, it's the best thing in the world! He's so cute. And don't worry, Hawaii will still be there when you are able to go!
