4:00 am
Here I am at 4:00 am. Nathan has started this schedule where he will go to bed, usually around 10 or 11 (that is after a few hours of crying) and then he will sleep until about 3:30 or so and wake up to eat. I get up to feed him but then he is wide awake. He is usually all smiley and happy and just content to be awake. It usually takes a few hours of trying really hard to get him back to sleep. So this morning I just put him in his little bouncy chair and I'm catching up on emails and blogs. Sometimes I am just too tired to try to get him back to sleep so here I am writing this at 4:00 am while Nathan is just as happy as can be being awake. He really is cute when he is like this, I just wish it wasn't during prime sleeping time :)

ewh yuck! I'm sorry! I am awake at all hours going to the bathroom! Falling back to sleep has been a struggle for me.
You need to find a night time babysitter for a few nights so you can catch up on sleep!
Hey Amanda!! It's been a long time!! Looks like you are doing well!!! He will start sleeping better in the next few weeks or so... but then it's kinda painful and you have to get up and pump anyways... so it's one thing or another!! Nathan is so cute!!
Have fun! -Amie(Mills)Larkin
Here is my e-mail address: turbomem@hotmail.com That way I don't have to bore your blog readers with my info. I do have a couple suggestions you can try to get Nathan to sleep more at night. If your not already doing them. First off if he is sleeping a lot during the day. Wake him up and feed him every 2 hours. That way he is getting a little less sleep during the day and might be more tired at night. Also I have a dim nightlight in our room so that I don't have to turn on a light. Then he starts to realize that if it's dark it's time to sleep. Try not to talk to him at night also, it excites them. I change his diaper when he first wakes up, I know that he will probably cry while you change him because he is hungry.. but then you have both sides to get him sleepy. Also I have found that burping him wakes him up. But if you don't then he wakes up earlier than he normally would with gas.. So after nursing at night I give him Mylicon, or Little Tummys if you can find it it's a lot cheaper. But then giving him the Mylicon might wake him up also... Hope that some of these will help!!
